CAN I COVER MY MODS?
We try to tailor your cover to suit you and your car, so telling us about any mods means you're properly covered in the event of any accident. We also have some policies that can replace your mods new for old if the unthinkable happens. So telling us about any mods you've made to your car is important in getting you the best cover. It's important to remember that modifications might not affect your quote, so it's best to tell us from the start. You can choose if you want fully comprehensive cover or third party, but if you've spent a lot of money getting your car just right, it might be wise to choose comprehensive cover.
NOW WHAT?

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
The more we know about your modified, performance or imported car, the better. So tell us everything. Remember, there are some things we will need to know about your car, so make sure you have the following information handy when you call:
- Your car registration number
- The value of your car
- The year your car was manufactured
- Details of any modifications you've made
- Your estimated mileage for the coming year. If you think this could be low, it could save you on your insurance
- Your driving history, including any penalty points received. Remember, convictions are not a problem with Swinton Specialist
- Where you store your car overnight, if it's in a secure garage it could lower your premium

WHAT'S EXCESS ABOUT THEN?
This is the amount you pay towards the cost of a claim. This amount could vary depending on what you agree when you take out your car insurance. You may be able to arrange to pay a lower premium in return for a higher excess payment, but if anything should happen you would have to pay more out in the long run.
HOW DOES A NO CLAIMS BONUS WORK?
For every year that you don't need to claim on your insurance, you receive a no claims bonus. This is how careful drivers are rewarded. You may be able to protect your no claims bonus by adding no claims protection as part of your policy. Ask us when you call.
